Cambodia Gambling Halls

There is a captivating story to the Cambodia gambling halls that lie just across the dividing line from neighboring Thailand, in which gambling den gambling is not allowed. Eight gambling dens are situated in a relatively small space in the metropolis of Poipet in Cambodia. This band of Cambodia casinos is in a prime destination, a 3 to four hour trip from Bangkok and Macao, the 2 biggest wagering centers in Asia. Cambodia gambling dens do a thriving business with Thai laborers and visitors from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with just a few Westerners. The amazing capital gained from the gambling halls ranges from seven and a half million dollars to over 12.5 million dollars, and there are a number of restrictions requirements for gambling den ownership. Ownership is required to be mainly Thai; however, financial sources are cryptic. The borders are ceremoniously open from 0900 to 1700, and despite the fact visas are allegedly needed to cross, there are methods and means around this, as is accurate of most borders.

The original Cambodia gambling halls premiered in Phnom Penh in 1994, but were forced to close in 1998, leaving just a single gambling den in the capital, the Naga Resort. The Naga, a stationary boat gambling hall, contains 150 slot machines and sixty table games. The Naga river boat is open all day and night with 42 tables of mini-baccarat, four tables of blackjack, ten of roulette, 2 of Caribbean Stud Poker, and a single table each of Pai-Gow and Tai-Sai.

The 1st gambling hall in Poipet, the Holiday Palace, opened in the late nineties and the Golden Crown soon opened. A total of 150 slot machine games and five table games at the Golden Crown and 104 slot machine games and sixty eight tables at the Holiday Palace. The newer Holiday Palace Casino and Resort features 300 slot machine games and seventy table games and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has 166 slot machines and 96 table games, including 87 baccarat (the most beloved game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. Also, there is the Casino Tropicana, with 135 slot machines and 66 of the familiar tables, as well as one table of Casino Stud Poker. Another one of the eight gambling halls in Poipet, also a part of a motel, is the Princess Casino with 166 slot machines and 97 games. The Star Vegas Casino is is located in a multinational resort and hotel compound that features a number of luxuries aside from the casino, which offers ten thousand sq.ft. of one hundred and thirty slots and 88 gaming tables.
