Regardless of the fact that internet gambling is now a billion dollar industry, and boundless thousands of new bettors around the globe log on daily to play at online gambling halls, there are still millions of new players to the world of web gambling who don’t as yet have a good understanding of a lot of the jargon employed in internet betting, and gambling on athletics in general. However, knowledge of these ideas is indispensable to understanding the games and codes of wagering:

ACTION: Any type of wager.

ALL-IN: In poker, all-in means a gambler has put all of his chips into the pot. A side pot is created for the bettors with additional money.

ALL-UP: To wager on many horses in the same event.

ANTE: A poker term for allocating a required amount of money into the pot prior to the start of each hand.

BRING-IN: A required bet in seven-card stud made by the player showing the smallest value card.

BUST: You don’t win; As in twenty-one, when a player’s cards total over 21.

BUY-IN: The minimal sum of chips required to appear in a match or tournament.

CALL: As in poker, when a wager is the same as a previously carried out wager.

CHECK: In poker, to remain in the match without wagering. This is acceptable only if no other players wager in that round.

CLOSING A BET: As in spread wagering, meaning to put a wager on par with but opposite of the starting bet.

COLUMN BET: To wager on any of the 3 columns of a roulette game.

COME BET: In craps, close to a pass-line wager, but carried out after the shooter has ascertained her point.

COME-OUT ROLL: A crapshooters first roll to arrive at a number, or the initial roll after a point is arrived at.

COVERALL: A bingo term, which means to blanket all the numbers on a bingo sheet.

CRAPPING OUT: In craps, to roll a two, three or twelve is an immediate loss on the come-out roll.

DAILY DOUBLE: To select the champions of the 1st two matches of the night.

DOWN BET: To wager that the outcome of an event will be lower than the lowest end of the quote on a spread bet, also known as a "sell".

DOZEN BET: In roulette, to gamble on one or more of 3 sets of twelve numbers, one-twelve, etc.

EACH WAY BET: A sports wager, meaning to gamble on a group or player to win or medal in a game.

EVEN MONEY BET: A bet that pays out the same value as wagered, ( 1:1 ).

EXACTA: laying odds that two horses in a contest will finish in the absolute same assignment as the bet – also known as a " Perfecta ".

FIVE-NUMBER LINE BET: In roulette, a bet placed on a grouping of 5 numbers, such as 1-2-3-0, and 00.
